Board of Directors and Staff
Kevin Christopherson
Kevin received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Utah and his M.S. from Utah State University. He worked for 30 years in Utah and Washington State in fish and wildlife management, research, habitat restoration, conservation, and endangered species recovery. His career took him away from Utah a few times, but he always found his way back. Utah's red rock and majestic mountains are his home. Trail advocacy is his way of giving back for the joy the outdoors has given him. He is the current President of the Trail Alliance of Southern Utah (TASU) and also serves on several trail boards. He has been active for many years promoting mountain biking as a trail designer, on the Moab Bike Patrol, a NICA ride leader, and numerous bike advocacy working groups. He and Teena have been married since the Jurassic Period, and they have three children and five grandchildren.
President
Dee Brklacich
Board Member
Dee Brklacich has lived in Utah her whole life, calling St. George and Ivins home for the past 32 years. She loves the southwest desert climate and enjoys biking, hiking, golfing, and camping. Dee began mountain biking in 2016 when a local bike store recommended a mountain bike skills clinic for her. Through the clinic, she discovered all the positive facets the mountain bike community offers, and mountain biking became her passion.
In 2024, she became a NICA Level 2 coach for the Snow Canyon High School Mountain Bike Team (SCMTB), and has coached the beginner’s group ever since. In 2025, Dee became a coach for the Artemisia Women’s Cycling Club, where she loves teaching mountain bike skills to women and assisting with group rides.
Dee values all things bikes where it transcends multiple aspects of our lives and is inclusive for all ages. She appreciates volunteering and giving back to the biking community by helping to build and maintain area trails through TASU, and by volunteering at the Bicycle Collective to refurbish donated bikes.

Toni Bain
Toni started in the accounting profession and began riding mountain bikes at the end of the 1980s. She volunteered on the first bike patrol in Chino Hills State Park in Southern California, maintaining trails, giving directions and offering help to riders. She relocated to Southern Utah in 1993, and has been running her accounting business and recreating in the area ever since. Most of our trails did not exist in those early years, so she has watched and participated in the evolution of mountain biking in Southern Utah. An avid mountain biker, Toni’s goal is to help maintain and expand our great trails, while enjoying them as often as possible.

Matt Clemens
Board Member
Matt Clements was born and raised in St. George, where he lives with his wife and two teenagers. Matt’s love for mountain biking only goes back four years, to when a friend let him borrow a bike and took him out on a few trails around town. Those initial rides ended up his changing his life, eventually leading to the completion of a 100-mile race in Leadville, CO. Mountain biking is his main hobby and the way he serve in the community. He is a coach with Desert Hills High School, where he mentors kids (including his own) and shows them the value of being part of a team. There’s nothing better than watching them succeed in a race or conquer a technical feature on a trail.
Teena Christopherson
Merchandise and Outreach
Teena bought her first mountain bike from a co-worker in 1990 for $200. That was the beginning of it all! She fell in love with the sport, joined a weekly group ride (mainly for the pizza and beer after the rides), and has been riding ever since. She raced for several years, produced several mountain biking events, and now just rides for fun.
She moved to Southern Utah in 2012 and has been so happy to be a part of this great mountain bike community.
“I love being part of the TASU team as the merchandise coordinator, and get so stoked when I see TASU gear out on the trails! Thanks for your support in helping TASU create, enhance and protect our local trails!”

Debora Adam
Debora has been riding various types of bicycles for over 30 years. She moved to Toquerville in 2019 and before that would visit Southern Utah as often as she could to ride bikes and hike. She worked at Red Rock Bicycle Company for a couple of years and led the infamous Debs Delightful Ladies’ mountain bike rides.
“No matter how many different and varied activities I get to do, I keep coming back to my love of dirt and rocks. My favorite type of riding is mesa tech and rocky chunky goodness. I truly believe that the more people ride bikes, the happier the world will become. Trails are the foundation for sustainable bike riding.”
